The Rosenthal-Levy Scholarship is a highly selective program. Candidates are strongly encouraged to submit applications as early as possible.

Note: All applicants to the Rosenthal-Levy Scholars Program must apply and be admitted separately and independently to the University of Texas at Austin through the early action, regular admissions, or transfer admissions process. Scholarship awards are contingent on admission to the University of Texas at Austin.

Deadline I:

Targeting students admitted to UT Early Action and Current UT Students

Application Deadline: March 1, 2026
Decision Notification: April 17, 2026

Deadline II:

Targeting students admitted to UT Regular Decision and Transfer Students

Application Deadline: March 30, 2026
Decision Notification: April 24, 2026

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The following students are eligible to apply to the Rosenthal-Levy Scholars Program in the current admissions cycle:

  • Current high-school seniors seeking to matriculate to the University of Texas for Fall 2026 (This includes students who intend to take a gap year and defer matriculation until Fall 2027).
  • Current gap-year students (in Israel-based programs or elsewhere) seeking to matriculate to the University of Texas for Fall 2026.
  • Current freshmen or sophomores already enrolled at the University of Texas.
  • Current freshmen or sophomores at other colleges and universities seeking transfer admission to the University of Texas and planning to matriculate in Fall 2026.

How Do I Apply?

A complete application will include:

  • Your personal information
  • An academic transcript
  • A résumé or CV
  • A list of academic, leadership, and personal references
  • Personal essays describing your intellectual interests and qualifications for the Rosenthal-Levy Scholarship

If you (a) have an acceptance in hand to the University of Texas at Austin for Fall 2026, (b) have applied and are awaiting an admissions decision, or (c) are a current University of Texas at Austin student: please proceed with your application for the Rosenthal-Levy Scholars Program.

What is the Selection Process?

Applicants will hear within a few weeks of submitting their application whether they are selected for online Semi-Finalist interviews. The strongest candidates will proceed to the Finalist stage, where they will be invited for in-person personal interviews whenever possible. All applicants will be notified well in advance of the deadline for making a final college matriculation decision for Fall 2026.
